Contract Manager


Contract Manager | Wind Turbines | Berlin | €80k - €100k+


Amber renewables are partnered with a rapidly growing player in the wind energy sector. With a strong commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives in Germany, this company has secured substantial investor commitments and manages a diverse portfolio of over 20 wind farms in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.


Role Overview:


We are now looking for a contract / procurement manager, where your main responsibilities will be contract management, contract negotiation and wind turbine procurement activities. You will be instrumental in driving the procurement process for wind turbines, working closely with manufacturers, and serving as the primary interface for investors. You will the first hire within this team, with expectations to build a team around yourself.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Contract management for EPC + service contracts.
  • Lead wind turbine procurement activities, ensuring alignment with manufacturer specifications and investor objectives.
  • Stay informed about market trends and pricing dynamics to inform strategic procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with finance and investment teams to integrate procurement activities into overall investment strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts with manufacturers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Oversee compliance with contractual obligations throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for investors and senior management, providing regular updates and strategic insights.
  • Drive the growth of the procurement function, with a vision to expand and manage a dedicated team in the future.


Your profile:


  • Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or related roles within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on wind turbines.
  • High level of attention to detail, if you have any legal background that wold be beneficial for the contract management side of this role.
  • Strong understanding of pricing dynamics, contract negotiation strategies, and procurement best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, driving results and fostering innovation.
  • Fluent in German and English languages, or C1 level minimum.
